The Millenium Pond is fed by a stream which trickles lightly down from Edge Hills. The upper pond acts as a silt trap for the larger, lower pond, and the plant life becomes vigorous during the summer months. In recent years, volunteers have helped to clear some of the silt and greenery to keep the pond healthy. As the pond is lined it’s not possible to employ mechanical means, so residents roll up their sleeves, don their wellies, and get muddy!

We will add photos taken in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
